SUBJ: 1. LEFEMINE FOR LIFE for Congress CAMPAIGN REPORT, and
2. The 60-second graphic anti-abortion Peroutka 2004 campaign TV ad - OPPORTUNITY
TO REQUIRE THE MEDIA TO ‘SHOW THE TRUTH’ ABOUT CHILD-KILLING

1. LEFEMINE FOR LIFE for Congress CAMPAIGN REPORT
(SteveLforUS2@sc-online.net)

Enclosed are the Eight Campaign Points that I am running on this time. In 2001, I ran in the US House 2nd District special election and received around 400 votes. I ran over 20 of the graphic, anti-abortion TV campaign ads, and it stirred up enough controversy to merit a front-page story on The State, SC’s largest newspaper here in Columbia. In 2002, I ran in the US House 5th District election, which did not have a GOP candidate running against the CFR Democrat incumbent, and I received over 8,800 votes. Again I ran the graphic anti-abortion ads, this time in both the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC media markets, although the lack of funds limited the number of ads run to seven. No front page story in The State ran this time.

I will not be running the graphic ads this campaign, though I would like to – pictures of the ‘hard truth’ of the victims of the violence of abortion do save lives and employ God’s spiritual principles for exposing evil (Ephesians 5:11-13, Ezekiel 22:2). However, I am trying to help get the Peroutka 2004 campaign TV commercials aired in South Carolina. I need your help if this is to be achieved (see below).

In addition to hand-out campaign cards, and opportunities to speak with media during the campaign, I am trying this year to also put out yard signs. So far I have ordered 25 corrugated plastic signs, 1 ½ ft x 2 ft. The cost of these 25 “corex” signs is $200 plus tax, and then the wires to stick them in the ground are another $0.85 each. They will likely be ready for pick-up in a week or so. Some of the money I had available to pay for these signs I am planning to spend on sending out this campaign letter. Please help me fundraise additional money to pay for the signs. In addition, if I could raise another $255 plus tax, I would be able to order 50 more heavy-duty cardboard signs. The wire frames for those are another $0.75 ea. If you would like to help me place these signs around Lexington County, and possibly also Beaufort County, the two largest source of votes in US House # 2, please consider contributing to: Lefemine For Life for Congress, PO Box 50358, Columbia, SC 29250. If you get this letter by e-mail, you can see a graphic of what the campaign yard sign looks like in the attachment.

On Monday, September 27, I scheduled a campaign-opening news conference on the north steps of the SC State House, but it was largely rained-out from the effects of Tropical Storm Jeanne. The SC Radio Network (statewide) did send a reporter however. Interestingly, she keyed in on incumbent Congressman Joe Wilson’s claim that he was pro-life, contrasted to my claim that he was not. When I re-scheduled the news conference for September 30, I re-focused the media advisory on two key illustrations of Joe Wilson’s anti-life record: 1) Wilson is not a co-sponsor of HR 579 – the Right to Life Act(http://thomas.loc.gov)/, which recognizes the legal right to life, and God-given, unalienable legal personhood of unborn human beings from the moment of fertilization (without ‘exceptions’), and would therefore end abortion in America if passed, and 2) Congressman Wilson has voted for HHS Appropriations bills which fund selected surgical abortions, chemical abortions, and also fund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest perpetrators of child-murder by abortion, with over $50 MILLION dollars per year through just the Title X population control and Planned Parenthood funding program, which gives birth control for unmarried adolescents to fornicate, even if their parents object. Joe Wilson is NOT Anti-Abortion ! Joe Wilson’s votes aid and abet child-murder before- the-fact. He is an accessory to the murder of unborn human beings and should NOT be re-elected !!

Additionally, for those who err in claiming George W. Bush is pro-life, the federal funding for the Title X population control and Planned Parenthood funding program has increased in the Bush years over the Clinton years !! In 2001, the last budget year impact by the Clinton administration, Title X was funded at $254 MILLION dollars, of which over $58 MILLION dollars went to Planned Parenthood. In 2002, the first full budget year of Bush administration, Title X was funded at $265 MILLION dollars, more than $11,000,000 MORE than the last year of the Clinton administration ! Congressman Joe Wilson VOTED for this appropriations bill, and President George W. Bush signed it – the blood of the innocent is on their hands ! (The Bible says God hates hands that shed innocent blood – Proverbs 6:16,17) Furthermore, in 2004, Congressman Joe Wilson and President George W. Bush funded Title X at $280 MILLION dollars, more than $26,000,000 MORE than the last year of the Clinton administration ! Joe Wilson is NOT Pro-Life and Anti-Abortion !

George W. Bush is NOT Pro-Life. How can funding Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest child-murder organization, slaughtering well over 200,000 unborn human beings each year just by surgical abortion alone each year be considered Pro-Life ?? !!! The very thought is outrageous.

Another clear distinction between incumbent Republican Congressman Joe Wilson, and Constitution Party challenger Steve Lefemine is our positions on the Iraq War. Congressman Joe Wilson voted for the unconstitutional Iraq War Resolution on October 10, 2002. I stated publicly at a news conference on November 1, 2002, over four months before the start of the war in March 2003, that I would have voted “NO” to this unconstitutional, oath-breaking transfer of the sole power of Congress to declare war under Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution, to the President / Executive Branch. Had my view prevailed in Congress, and kept President Bush from unconstitutionally launching an attack against Iraq, which had not attacked us, and which had no operational connection to Al-Qaeda’s attack on 9-11, there would be over 1,000 American servicemen alive today who have instead been killed as part of the still-rising body count in this unnecessary, wasteful war. It is worse than wasteful, it is counter-productive. It was and remains, a distraction from the war on Al-Qaeda, who are reported to be the ones who actually attacked us on September 11, 2001, NOT IRAQ ! I therefore support the speedy withdrawal of all American troops from Iraq. We should support our troops by bringing them home from a war they should not be fighting. By contrast Republican Joe Wilson is a Bush-man through and through. He supports the War in Iraq.

Joe Wilson is NOT Pro-Life. Joe Wilson is PRO-Iraq War.
Steve Lefemine IS Pro-Life. Steve Lefemine is AGAINST the Iraq War.

Voters of the Second Congressional District in SC, “take your pick on November 2” !

In summary then, if you support abortion; if you support taxpayer funding of abortion, and birth control for unmarried minors, and funding the child-murderers at Planned Parenthood; if you support the War in Iraq, and George W. Bush’s new world order agenda, then Joe Wilson is your man on November 2nd. However, if you are opposed to abortion; or if you oppose taxpayer funding of abortion, birth control for unmarried minors, and funding the child-murderers at Planned Parenthood; or if you oppose the undeclared, and therefore unconstitutional and illegal War in Iraq; or if you oppose George W. Bush’s new world order agenda, then I ask for your vote as the Constitution Party candidate for US House District # 2 - Vote Steve Lefemine on Nov. 2nd.

2. The 60-second graphic anti-abortion Peroutka 2004 campaign TV ad - AN OPPORTUNITY TO REQUIRE THE MEDIA TO ‘SHOW THE TRUTH’ ABOUT CHILD-KILLING -

The federal ‘Reasonable Access Law’ applies only to federal candidates during election season

How many times over the years have pro-lifers wished the media would ‘Tell the Truth’ about abortion ? How many times over the years have we wished the media would simply ‘Show the Truth’ about what abortion really is ? Well, there is a provision available in the law where the television stations are required to air the truth about abortion – it is called the ‘Reasonable Access Law’ where the content of the campaign ads of candidates for federal office (US House, US Senate, President, Vice President) cannot legally be censored. Dr. Patrick Johnston from Columbus, Ohio has been instrumental in putting together an excellent Peroutka 2004 campaign TV ad with graphic pictures of aborted children, facts concerning George W. Bush’s anti-life record, and a strong pro-life statement at the end by Constitution Party Presidential candidate Michael Peroutka (http://www.peroutka2004.com)/, who has promised to make ending abortion his priority on the very first day of office in January 2005 if elected. In 2002, my average cost for airing 30-second ads was $328. Each ad aired during a local evening newscast reaches literally tens of thousands of households. If you would like to help me get these Peroutka 2004 campaign ads aired in SC, please make your checks out to: “Peroutka 2004” and address the envelope to: Steve Lefemine, POB 50358, Columbia, SC 29250. For each contribution of $100 or more, I’ll send you a VHS or DVD copy of the TV ad.

Thank you, Steve Lefemine
