Mormon Glenn Beck's Divine [sic] Destiny

- Heretics and False Religionists platformed, JFK Center, August 27, 2010
- Bible separation is the practice of separating from sin and error unto truth and righteousness.
- To all professing Christians, God says:
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord,..." [ emphasis added ]
2 Corinthians 6:14-17, KJB

Steve,

Having served under you in the military, I want to premise my respect for you right off. Also, having said that, I have come to admire your advocacy for the Unborn.

However, I must part ways with you and your utter lack of respect for Mormons. Since I have been a Mormon for over 25 years, it never fails to amaze me how ignorant people are and their proclivity to judge a man and his religion despite the good he has to offer. Even Paul was an advocate for seeking good no matter it's source.

I believe you have fallen prey to a position by which speaking out against those you would disagree in dogma and doctrine castigates your integrity and stigmatizes you as one who has become what he actually hates.

It is not our words that have any meaningful effect. As a matter of fact, most of the time our words more fully condemn us rather than save us. It is our actions which speak the mind and motivations of the spirit. And with all due respect, I believe your folly has been made manifest with your actions as well as your words. Your "doctrine of Separation" is contrary to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially as propounded by Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:10 and the intercessory prayer of the Savior in John 17.

It is obvious that separation IS the problem with Christianity and the reason for its disdain of unity in doctrine. It is the pride of man that keeps him from seeing the Truth...the Truth being the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints IS the Lord's church and it is the "stone cut out of the mountain" which will "roll forth and consume the whole earth."

There is nothing you will ever say or do to stop the work of the Church. It WILL consume all of Christianity. All the other churches are abominable unto Christ, including your own little corner of the dogmatic world of religion. No other church on earth even comes close to having a real claim upon the authority of God because they assume they can take it upon themselves, just as you have done. Well, I am sorry good Brother, it does not work that way. The Bible makes clear how authority from God is to be bestowed. And if you have received any other way, then, you do not have it. And if you have no authority from God, then, your words are meaningless, hence, the reason they more fully condemn you, and not the people of which you show your disdain.

So, if I was to offer any advice, I would cease and desist your attacks upon people and their religion unless you are prepared to bring about your own condemnation. Lose the spirit of hate and love your neighbor, nobody who or what he is. If you find that difficult to do, then try loving God first.

Respectfully,

Jeffery J Cole
