CNN - TRENDING: Some evangelicals on defensive over partnering with Glenn Beck, a Mormon

"A handful of prominent evangelical activists are defending their decision to attend television host Glenn Beck's conservative rally in Washington this weekend after some Christians complained that evangelicals shouldn't be partnering with Beck because of his Mormon faith." [ emphasis added ]

God says to Bible-believing, born-again Christians:

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord,..." [ emphasis added ]
2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (KJB)

"Brannon Howse, a conservative writer and founder of Worldview Weekend, which organizes Christian conferences, criticized evangelical participation in that event [ CCL: Glenn Beck's Divine Destiny event August 27 ] in a column this week."

[ CCL Note: "Following Glenn Beck's Divine Destiny or God's Word", By Brannon S. Howse, Posted: 08/22/10 ]

" "The Apostle Paul warns Christians against uniting with unbelievers in spiritual endeavors...," Howse wrote. "While I applaud and agree with many of Glenn Beck's conservative and constitutional views, that does not give me or any other Bible-believing Christian justification to compromise Biblical truth by spiritually joining Beck." Biblical Separation - Way of Life Encyclopedia of the Bible and Christianity -

Bible separation is the practice of separating from sin and error unto truth and righteousness.

Three types of separation
In the N.T. we find three basic areas of separation. The Christian is to practice Moral Separation -- separation from sin and worldliness; Doctrinal Separation -- separation from those whose teaching and practice is contrary to that of the apostles; and Practical Separation -- separation from brethren who are committed to disobedient paths.
