McCain gets Schwarzenegger's endorsement

LOS ANGELES - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed Sen. John McCain in the Republican presidential race on Thursday,...

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani also attended the event, one day after he dropped out of the race and threw his support behind his longtime friend.

"I don't think anyone here would be surprised by Governor Schwarzenegger's endorsement of Senator McCain. Their views on a number of issues are similar, and so I don't think that comes as a surprise," Romney said.

But Schwarzenegger has a strained relationship with some conservatives in his own party and McCain, himself, is fighting to convince GOP rank-and-file that he's committed to conservative values. Schwarzenegger's nod could exacerbate concerns about McCain among the party establishment.

Schwarzenegger on abortion, gays, environment
Thursday, August 28, 2003

Sounding more like a Democrat than a Republican, the GOP candidate [Schwarzenegger] said in a radio interview that he is pro-choice ...

Schwarzenegger, ... , said he does not support gay marriage, but does approve of some kind of domestic partnership.

California Fires: The Righteous Judgment of God

--- 1 Million refugees, over $1 Billion in damage, well over 1,000 homes burned, in the wicked Abortion & Sodomy state of California.

--- "Governor Schwarzenegger just signed a bill on October 13 foisting promotion of the sodomite lifestyle on children as young as 5 or 6 years old, through the government ("public") schools. California wildfires broke out one week later, on October 20."

Will GOP voters accept Giuliani's evolution on abortion?
Mon November 26, 2007

As mayor, Giuliani supported taxpayer-financed abortions for poor women, a position he reiterated in a 1997 National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League candidate questionnaire and again in an interview with CNN seven months ago.

"If it would deprive someone of a constitutional right, yes -- I mean, if that's the status of the law, then I would, yes," he told CNN.

McCain thanks evangelicals [sic] for support

Republican presidential candidate John McCain publicly thanked two prominent conservative Christian leaders Saturday who have rallied to his defense in recent days.

"I was very pleased to see comments made by people like Tony Perkins and Dr. Richard Land," McCain told reporters after a rally in Nashville, Tenn. "I appreciate the words that they have been using."

Perkins, head of the Family Research Council, a conservative public policy group, and Land, a leader in the 16-million member Southern Baptist Convention, have criticized McCain in the past. Perkins told the New York Times that he has "no residual issue with John McCain," while Land told the newspaper McCain "is strongly pro-life."

Dobson says 'no way' to McCain candidacy
Christian leader declares he couldn't support senator 'under any circumstances'
Posted: January 13, 2007

"Speaking as a private individual, I would not vote for John McCain under any circumstances," said James Dobson, founder of the Colorado Springs-based Focus on the Family as well as the Focus Action cultural action organization set up specifically to provide a platform for informing and rallying constituents.

A spokesman for Dobson, the influential evangelical Christian founder of Focus on the Family, said Wednesday that he stood by the position he staked out more than a year ago that as a matter of conscience he could never vote for McCain.

"Huckabee's presence in the race is a spoiler for Romney,..."

MR. RUSSERT: Mary Matalin, the one thing that's clear in all that, other than New York, John McCain doesn't hit 50 percent in any of those states. Mike Huckabee's presence on that ballot seems to really help John McCain.

MS. MATALIN: Absolutely... At every one of those states would be for Romney, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri and even California, given the way the California primary works, they are real Republicans in there, would go to Romney, in addition to Romney's other states that he has. Huckabee's presence in the race is a spoiler for Romney,

"Meet the Press" - February 3, 2008

MR. RUSSERT: Let's, let's watch some of this.

MR. RUSSERT: Because these are some of the comments made,...

Here's Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family: "I would not vote for John McCain under any circumstances."

Here's Rush Limbaugh on his radio program on Thursday.

MR. RUSH LIMBAUGH: I was watching the endorsement of Senator McCain by Governor Schwarzenegger in California. What a picture this was. And I'm looking at the picture, and I'm seeing McCain surrounding himself with the left wing of our party. These guys are Republicans, but they're the left wing of our party. So he just got the endorsement of a big-taxing, big-spending, socialist health care, eco-extreme governor who says the Republican Party needs to follow him to the left.
(End audiotape)

MR. RUSSERT: That's Rush Limbaugh. Now...

MR. RUSSERT: Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, however, a strong voice in the Republican Party, he weighed in this way with NBC.

REV. RICHARD LAND: Senator McCain has gone to great pains to make it clear that he is a conservative. He has moved to a more conservative position on taxes. He has expressed appreciation for the pro-life position.

I think it'll be a mutual, a mutual opportunity for both conservative groups and Senator McCain to get to know each other better and to understand what's at stake in November.

Rush needs to get out and talk to average folk more.
(End videotape)

George Mason, Virginia delegate to the Constitutional Convention, 1787:

"Every master of slaves is born a petty tyrant. They bring the judgment of heaven upon a country. As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, they must be in this. By an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes nation sins, by national calamites."

America lost over 600,000 American lives in the War Between Americans (1861-1865) as a result of God's divine judgment on the national sin of America's institutionalized chattel slavery system ( like America's institutionalized system of child-murder in our 750 plus abortion centers today ).
