Constitution Party Presidential Candidate
Michael Peroutka Finishes 4th in South Carolina,
Close Behind Ralph Nader and Ahead of the Libertarian


One of the stories from Election Day in South Carolina is that Constitution Party Presidential candidate Michael Peroutka (VP candidate Chuck Baldwin) finished a close fourth in the state, close on the heels of the third place finisher, the much better known Ralph Nader, behind Nader by just 127 votes, and ahead of the Libertarian Party candidate.


The Unofficial Results from the SC State Election Commission

1. Bush (Republican) 920,072 votes - 58.00%
2. Kerry (Democrat) 648,443 votes - 40.88%
3. Nader (Independence) 5,409 votes - 0.34%
4. Peroutka (Constitution) 5,282 votes - 0.33%
5. Badnarik (Libertarian) 3,534 votes - 0.22%
6. Brown (United Citizens) 2,104 votes - 0.13%
7. Cobb (Green) 1,499 votes - 0.09%
