Greetings South Carolina,

I am Steve Lefemine and I am running for Congress on the Constitution Party ticket.

I believe for America to survive and prosper, we must accept the same essential truth our founding fathers understood, that God’s Law must rightly be the moral foundation of all our human laws. We cannot call evil ‘good’ and call good ‘evil’ and expect to survive, much less prosper, as a nation. The very first sentence of the Declaration of Independence states our right to exist as a separate and equal nation was premised upon “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.”

If the people of Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and the other seven counties up to Columbia in District 2 would be pleased to elect me, I would be blessed and honored to serve in Congress, working to restore our constitutional republic, which at one time was rooted in Biblical law, but is now far adrift from those secure moorings. The goal of the Constitution Party is: To restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical premises, and to limit the Federal Government to its enumerated, specified powers.

Point # 1 is, as I have said, to acknowledge God’s Law as the moral foundation of all our laws. Point # 2 is to defend the sanctity of human life. If elected, I would co-sponsor the Right to Life Act, recognizing the God-given civil right to life of all human beings at conception, thereby ending abortion. Point # 3 is my opposition to the unconstitutional war in Iraq. Congress never made a declaration of war, and so this war is illegal. I support the speedy withdrawal for all American troops. Point # 4 is to defend the sanctity of marriage. The act of sodomy is a crime according to South Carolina law. Marriage and sexual intercourse is only for one man and one woman who have covenanted together for life. Immoral acts such as sodomy or fornication should not be legitimized, but punished as illegal, criminal behaviors, in accordance with state law. Point # 5 is to secure America’s borders by calling for a temporary moratorium on immigration, and deporting illegal aliens. Point # 6 is to save America’s jobs and manufacturing by revoking NAFTA, pulling out of the WTO, and opposing President Bush’s FTAA new world order scheme to turn the Western Hemisphere into another European Union. Point # 7 is to restore America’s civil liberties by repealing the Patriot Act, and Point # 8 is to co-sponsor the American Sovereignty Restoration Act, removing the US from the United Nations, and the UN from American soil.
